Yoga flow (Vinyasa) classes are often taught at a fast pace. For this reason, they are generally offered at an open level and not catered for absolute beginners.
This 6-week beginners course aims to puncture that assumption by breaking down different elements of the Vinyasa method.
Each week, we begin with preparatory stretches and conditioning exercises that lead to the key asanas (poses) in sun salutations A and B. Taking Vinyasa as a comprehensive method of yoga not as a sport but as a holistic way of being, we will explore how the asanas are connected with the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the philosophical underpinnings of yoga as a spiritual practice according to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra.
Since this is a practical hatha yoga course (hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that uses physical movement as a method to regulate body-mind), we will practice at least one full round of sun salutation from Week 1– from a slow step-by-step guided sequence to building up confidence and pace in Week 6. Vinyasa is a fiery method that uses discipline and persistence to activate the deep love and resilience we all have within us. A curious open mind and a willingness to learn and apply are essential.

Improve your hip flexibility and stability in a safe and supportive environment. This 4-Week Iyengar Yoga course focuses on gently enhancing hip mobility through an accessible sequence that will be repeated and refined in each session. Come move with ease and build strength and stability!
What to Expect:
Repetitive Sequence: We will work with a specific sequence of Iyengar Yoga poses targeting the hips. This repetition allows for gradual progress, deeper understanding, and increased awareness of your body.
Precision: Expect attention to alignment and the use of props (like blocks, belts, and blankets) to support your practice and ensure safety. Iyengar yoga is known for its detailed instruction, making it accessible to all, regardless of flexibility or experience.
Slow and Accessible Pace: This class is intentionally slow-paced, allowing you to fully explore each pose and build strength without strain. Great for those new to yoga or anyone seeking a gentle approach to hip opening.
Build Strength and Stability: While focusing on mobility, you will also start building strength and stability in the hips and surrounding areas. This will improve your overall posture, balance, and ease of movement in daily life.
Who is this course for?
Beginners: No prior yoga experience is necessary. This course is designed to be accessible to everyone.
Individuals with Tight Hips: If you experience stiffness or limited mobility in your hips, this course can help you find greater ease and freedom of movement.

Beginner Classes
To book a class and pay for it, tap or click book now on the classes (or on the app), you will then be prompted to make a purchase.
If you can’t commit to a course, and only expect to be attending beginner classes at the moment, we would suggest a class pass or purchasing one-off classes:
A single class is £17.50
You can purchase a 5 class pass for £75 / 10 class pass for £130 (both are valid for 6 months)
Another option would be to go for the 30-day unlimited classes for £55, however, you can only use this once - so if you’re only attending 1 class per week as a beginner it would be better to save this for when you’re attending more than once.
Please get in touch with us if you’re unsure of the best options for you and we are always happy to advise.
FAQ
Changing rooms/facilities
We have two separate changing rooms (not unisex), with lockers that you can leave your bits and bobs in. We have unisex toilet facilities and now have showers available for you to use (bring your toiletries - we can provide towels).
Should I eat before class?
It is best not to eat a big meal within 4 hours of a class.
A healthy snack (such as a piece of fruit, or a handful of nuts) 1-2 hours before is fine.
Bring a water bottle
We provide filtered water and fruit-infused water which you can help yourself to along with small plastic cups to sip from. Please do not bring glasses or mugs into our studios.
We supply all mats and props
We have mats and props for you to borrow at the studio, so no need to bring your own unless you’d like to. For Hot Yoga classes, we recommend that you bring a towel around the size of a yoga mat to place over your mat (as it gets sweaty pretty quickly!) we have a selection of Yogitoes grip dot towels for you to purchase at the studio, or you can rent one of ours for £1.
How often should I practice?
There is a significant benefit to attending class 2-3 times a week. Expect to see dramatic mind and body benefits from this level of attendance. Almost all of our clients are seeking some kind of change. Attending 2-3 times a week regularly will bring about that change - guaranteed.
Arrive 10 minutes early
Classes are often busy. It’s good to arrive early to relax and prepare before class.
Don’t be late!
We operate a zero-tolerance lateness policy. Classes start on time and late admissions are not allowed - this is to minimise disruption for your fellow practitioners. Please do not ask to be let into a class after it has started. Thank you for your cooperation.
Wear comfortable clothing and a couple of layers
Most people wear gym-style clothing. Shorts, or leggings / joggers and a t-shirt or vest would be great. Bring a sweatshirt or jumper as well in case you get chilly during relaxation.
Be prepared to remove your shoes upon arrival!
You will be asked to remove your shoes on arrival at the centres. Please leave them in the hall.
Book classes on the CAMYOGA app
We have a fantastic free app that can be used on Android or Apple devices. You can book classes on the go, sign in when you get to the studio, make purchases and more. Available for Android and iOS.
