Workshop and Kirtan with Durga Devi
Don’t miss out on the chance to take a class with well established Jivamukti teacher Durga Devi. Derga grew up in New York city and picked up an interested in dancing and gymnastics (on competitive level) at early age. It wasn’t until 1994 when she was introduced to Yoga by her friends and she immediately fell in love with Yoga and specifically with its philosophy, the holy teachings and chanting. Durga started her Yoga career by teaching at the New York Jivamukti centre where she remained to teach for over 3 years before relocating to London, where she is now a senior teacher at the London Jivamukti Yoga Centre. Durga also undertook Kirtan training with Jau Uttal which inspired her chanting.

Durga Devi on Kirtan: ‘We all resonate at different frequencies and these change according to what we are doing and thinking. When we are all doing the same thing (chanting, breathing, and moving to the same rhythms) our vibrations begin to synchronize and the resulting experience can be very powerful!’
Our Cafe will be open before and after the Kirtan.
